6 MILLION CARS

It seemed only yesterday that we were told that it was impossible to make cars. Now we're at 6 million cars.

How do they do it? Weren't we told it was impossible? WTF

6 million cars? In how many years? With how many factories?

      >6 million
Bullshit, they can only make about 500k tops, even with all the factories making cars every day

Someone check my math because something isn't adding up
      >2012 first Model S is produced
      >12 years of manufacturing
      >that averages to...
      >500,000 cars a year
      >1370 cars a day
      >57 cars an hour
      >tesla currently has 6 factories but most likely added them over the years
I don't know that number seems optimistic not to mention supply constraints on rare materials needed to perform a feat that large especially in the face of supply shortages

      >6 million cars
      >That's 1369 cars a day
      >57 cars an hour
      >1 car per minute for 12 years operating 24 hours a day 365 days a year

It was real, all of it. My grandmother rode the rollercoasters at the tesla gigafactory. It. Happened.

Anybody with any semblance of intelligence will be able to tell you that making six million cars in such a short time is simply impossible with so few locations & lacking infrastructure

Do you see these "robots"? These are unable to properly align panels, weld or do anything that the manufacturer wants you to believe

No manufacturer would rely on such slow, non-functional equipment if their goal was to quickly & efficiently construct millions of cars

Hasn't the arse fallen out of the electric car market, the depreciation, lack of chargers, shit range, who fricking wants to sit at a charger for 40 minutes.

      >who fricking wants to sit at a charger for 40 minutes

No one. On average, they don't charge that long.

you're right they charge longer than that

      1) nope
      2) depreciation is just growth strategy Tesla uses in times of high as frick interest rates shitting on people's pockets (either they dont sell and shutdown factory or they sell at lower rate and keep factory running, they chose the latter)
      3) Tesla charging is now the standard in North America
      4) shit range, most EVs are now ~250-300 miles, add to Tesla chargers, its now super convenient
      5) if you're doing daily driving, 20-30 min charging would prop you up for a week or two worth of driving on a supercharge. Or if you have a home (60% of americans do, thats a non issue)

Also its a combination of that and high as frick shortage causing price to skyrocket for few years, the prices are now back to normal msrp level, thats a biggest factor.

Is that a big deal ? Toyota males 12 million a year

Toyota is nearly 90 year old company with the long established car industry thats saturated the market with their various offerings to fit all market. Tesla is ~20 years and had to ramp up fast. Its the fastest ramp up of any car company in history, beating even Ford's original rampup.

And Tesla had to create an entire eco-system/supply chains similar to how Ford had to create a new supply line system.
