Yep. I just run over rough roads with impunity. Truck drivers roll over bumps way too slowly for what they're capable of. That air in the bed must be fragile.

from the beginning i always wanted the tallest sidewalls and smallest wheels.
i've always said that if i had enough money to make an exotic and shitbox collection, one thing they'd all have in common is the smallest wheels that can fit over the stock brakes with the tallest tires on them. might put steelies on a pagani as an example of lulz even, but everything must have the smallest wheels possible, and tallest/fattest tires on them.

Smaller wheels on an exotic performance car is fricking moronic. It hinders the handling because of the side flex.

    I skipped that fad completely.
I just stick with stock size wheels. Maybe go a size or two bigger on the tires. That's it.
If God had intended for us to have humongous size ghetto wheels with little thin rubber bands for tires, the engineers at GM would have designed it that way. But they didn't. Because they're not nibbers.

I fail to see how this means absolutely anything besides marketing demographic. Short of big brake kits, there is no justification nor necessity to have dindu sized wheels on commuters. Bigger sidewall means better ride and in shithole states it means you won't lose a wheel because of unrepaired potholes.

im gonna get 65s on mine, primarily because oem is 205/60r15 which is an oddball size and i can't find any decent tyres in that size. going to 195/65r15 which gives me a lot more options. speedo will still not show me going slower than i actually am too.

            Anonymous

That's not a bigger sidewall lol, 50% of 205 is 123mm, 65% of 195 is 126mm. They're nominal sizes meaning the inflated tire will be similar. You'd need smaller wheels to do anything drastic while keeping tire diameter around the same.

60% you mean. the 195/65s will be slightly larger in diameter than the 205/60s

        Hell with that.

14" is the smallest that will fit over the calipers, and even then just barely. I did go for .5" wider wheels and 30mm wider tires for the visuals though.

I never really liked the super low tire wall + bigass rims look. I've always felt that 17'' rims was pushing it, 18'' rims is the maximum level for good taste, anything bigger than that is just clownshoes for your car. Walls <30 is just determined to ride like shit.

I'd add to that point. Just from going from 17s to 16s and then adding +10 on the aspect ratio to 60 made a huge difference in ride quality. I never worry about popping tires from a hard hit.
