Why are the men buying corvettes suddenly worried about whether their wife likes driving it?

Yep all C8s are automatic for some stupid fricking reason. Guess they're targeting the market of casual old homosexuals with corvette money as opposed to actual enthusiasts

You mean like this? Where it literally came with a tilt function just for you to enter the seat?

old cars had huge steering wheels because they had no power steering, the larger diameter allowed you to apply more torque for the same force, making the steering easier. i doubt you are capable of understanding why new cars do not need this feature. refrain from posting again you imbecile

Your pic is an aftermarket abomination with what looks like a LED tach designed for a round steering wheel.

        >i doubt you are capable of understanding why new cars do not need this feature.
The Corvette's steering wheel is actually on the small side.

          Anonymous

it should be about 10% smaller, like this.
the reason it's so big and all steering wheels are so big is to fit stupid controls on it and the airbag.

            Anonymous

Airbags are a lot smaller now the reason the corvette has an ugly steering wheel is that A: the previous models had them and B: it has to look like Ironmans backpack or neoboomers won't buy it

I got all kinds of shit on the front and back of mine both sides. I only use the cruise control buttons. Why do I need a volume control on my steering wheel, touch pad screen, and the big fricking volume control knob right below the touch screen. Someone looks at a car design "hey, there's empty space on the dash!!! Fill it with knobs and buttons" sane as the steering wheel. No empty spaces.

          >Historically, drivers have been instructed to hold the steering wheel at the “10 o’clock” and “2 o’clock” positions. The reasoning is that this allows for maximum hand-over-hand control when making turns.

            Anonymous

Maybe that advice was pertinent in 50s shitboxes with 10 turns lock to lock, but now, both in racing (for quicker 180 turns) and street driving (due to airbags) 9 and 3 is preferred.

            Anonymous

correct, but the point is that your hands stay at that position, you pass the wheel from one hand to the other so your arms aren't crossed in front of the airbag in case it deploys
can't do that with a yoke

The ct4v BW and ct5v Bw will go down as the best most enthusiast oriented sedans ever made

Cadillac engineers got free rein. You can see the little designs/features. Things like NLTS, the chassis tuning, front canards actually bolted to the chassis to provide downforce

As for the c8. They are trash unless you get a z06. Gm does not have lots of mud engine experience. They understeer and are not “fun” on a track. They do not rotate with throttle like a c7, and they plow into the turns. C8s also have been aging like shit to me. A guy in my neighborhood has a c7 z06 and it still looks amazing all these years later.

          >they also age like shit
Angry, edgy spaceship looking designs that we have now universally age like dogshit. They're already ugly when they release and just get more dated over time.
