you think there is any risk involved in leaning far enough for the edge of the tire to have street contact?
Black person thats like 15% of a modern tires capabilities.
There is zero reason to have chicken strips aside from being scared of leaning.

look, if you dont wanna lean more into a corner thats fine, just dont pretend there is any rational reason for it.

One of my frustrations with switching to a cruiser is the chicken strips. I can't use the whole tire because the side stand scrapes on the left and the expensive chrome muffler scrape on the right. I don't mind scraping the stand but the muffler makes me feel bad.

I borrowed a fatboy for the weekend and kept scraping the running boards.
It was annoying as frick- besides thinking it's going to cause me to crash I couldn't actually "ride".
        Cruisers suck.

It's a nice riding bike and it has sentimental value, I just can't scrape pegs like my previous metric bikes.
Even if I have to resist the urge to get some RSD rearsets. I've ridden so long with my feet under me that forward controls still feel weird

hopefully not, id just assume he rides slow as frick and cant take advantage of the bikes superior maneuverability in case of danger and FUN

It's a S1000R, I like going fast but I'm not going to fully commit to a corner when I can't see around it, could be a tractor or someone walking their dog the other side. With the fast acceleration I have less motive to carry all the speed I can through the corner, compared to when I had an SV650 and didn't want to slow down.
