it's electric. The batteries cost a ton and the resale value is shit. Buy electric your buying chinese garbage since that's where 90% of the batteries and by extension the car frame they are permanently welded into comes from.

I just bought a used focus st with 54k miles unmodified 1 prior owner in socal who then moved to tx and traded it in. I'm a richgay and it's a hatchback with space to haul dogs and get groceries. Buying new cars is for poorgays who don't understand it's a tool to go from A to B and does nothing but cost money over time. DRive cheap cars and get 1 decent hobby car if your into modifying/stance/car shit. It's what I do.

Do you think it is worth car enthusiasts buying a new daily/fun car with good warranty and reliability? Then drive it for 5+ years and don't spend extra money on it? e.g. CTR/GRC/Golf R/Mustang if you earn $75-$100k p.a.

I drive a big block that I buy ethanol free for (it's carburetored and I can't be bothered to clean it that often) and barely spend $100/week on gas. There are plenty of fun options that will work out better economically and don't leave you stuck with soulless kia.

At current fuel prices you would have to switch from something getting 7MPG and drive 15,000 miles a year in order to spend $100/week

They could literally buy a modern dually gas pickup and save money on gas if that was the case.

I mean, I pay $90/week for gas, so if I save $60/week in fuel costs (assuming $30/week in electrical costs) it makes it a little better but that's still way more than I'd ever want to pay.
