Unfortunately with all the regulations in the USA, there isn't a free market anymore.

The closest industry to a free market in the world is China right now. China is more capitalistic than the USA.

Yeah, going all in on something is dogshit. Having a regulated free market with government investment in industries it deems important is peak economy.

This. Anons cry about regulations as if it's not the only thing stopping them from dying of lung cancer from emissions, getting bent thirty different ways because they turned a little too quickly or having they're faced caved in because they broke too hard.

Corporations exist to maximize profits by ANY means necessary. They're not your friends.

In a free market companies have an explicit interest in making their cars safe and healthy to keep their customers, behaviour would be corrected on its own if truly harmful.
Just an example - I have been driving for 6 years and have never once used a backup camera, yet governent mandates backup cameras now. regulations upon moronic regulations

Yeah you're right you shouldn't be able to buy spare parts, that's private intellectual property and if your car explodes due to corporate negligence uh that's on you buddy good luck trying to sue us

          > good luck trying to sue
it's very easy to sue in America and happens all the time

Not against a huge corporation with many israeli lawyers

Big corporations get BTFO'd by lawsuits all the time. Class actions almost always win, and there are near-quarterly payouts issued by courts because of them.

Sadly, it doesn't, nowadays with all safety regulations on cars they're literally shipping cars where the screws aren't properly bolted on or just break because poor material quality.
The perfect example of this behavior is tesla, they have so fricking shit quality that the dealer himself (if you can even call them that) tells you to write a list with all factory defects to fix upon giving you your car, and there's a shitton of people suing them and winning because it's so fricking shit a 75k€ car comes with a defect so big they have to pry open half the car and cut a part of the chassis because one of the 10k pieces that comprise the chassis wasn't properly soldered on.

You homosexuals clearly don't understand how the market works. The government enforcing regulations on our cars are asinine and are for lobbying. Government is not good. Should there be 0 regulations? No. Markets change and we are overregulated.

Cars are under regulated though. They need to restrict people to small cars, and make SUVs/Pickup trucks require a commercial license.

Cars back then didn't have tubes. They still used solid-state electrics and fuses, just not computers.
