          Yeah, thats what I said.
Its the car they used for the movie.
You think a car made to look like Nemo's auto would cost anything less than millions?

That's probably why he said he'd buy a car like this if he were rich.

That’s why he said he’d do it if he were rich, dumbfrick. I see this often, someone barges into a conversation after having read/listened to only half the words and only after tedious explanation do they come full circle and agree with the initial point. I think it’s severe autism mixed with contrarianism.

It's always been one of those quietly beloved movies, but it just doesn't have a huge or vocal fanbase. Most people don't even know that made a cartoon a couple years back.

I've always thought it was interesting how no one cares about the characters as long as they get to see cute dogs. Hell, Cadpig is more beloved than most of the original movie dogs. No one's whining about the sequels that don't have Perdita or Roger, and no one cares when they change the entire fricking setting to a farm or downtown camden or whatever. There's no uproar about legacy casting like other movies. I don't have a point with this, I just think it's interesting.

      Nice!

Because it fricking sucked. I was pretty young when it came out and got the comic around the same time. The comic was an absolutely mind blowing read and the movie was an absolute shitshow.

Frickin sucks that the ending was in some weird not-nazi snow base and Invisible Man was a good guy, instead of the ending being a three way battle between Moriarty's airship and that chinese guy and Griffin a rapist cop killer.

I've started to future prep myself against this bros. If a film hits cinema and people are saying its trash, I know its kino. The inverse is also true. The biggest warning sign of a pile of shit to me is if DA has a lot of threads. Shogun was supposed to be great (I love Japanese history), Holy shit it was bad, what a shill piece

marketing firms come here to spam threads because DA is "upstream" of the rest of the internet and they want to seed potential memes and then steal them

I liked this movie and honestly don't understand the hate...it had some effects that could have been improved on (hydes costume and minas transformation) but it was fun

      Anonymous

The hate mostly came from the well publicized problems the movie had on set, coupled with it doing a generally terrible job of adapting its source.
In a vacuum it's alright, but it should have been so much better. Missed opportunities the movie.

I saw it as a kid and liked it. Had no idea people hated it. Sure it's not as good as the comics, but who expects that from adapting Alan Moore anyway? It was a fun little adventure film.

Yeh, this, plus Sean Connery is one of my favorite actors. Still don't know what's really wrong with it. Alan hates all adaptions

Alan Moore is a huge homosexual. He can write good comics from time to time, but the guy thinks he's above everybody else and that he's some kind of wizard. The weird sex shit he likes to inject into his stories doesn't help.

This movie had some amazing concepts, but also some bad ones, like the villian muscle (or was it the villian itself?) Which was just hulk on steroids.

      Anonymous

      >like the villian muscle
It was just some higher ranked henchman for the main villain who drank a shitload of hyde juice because hyde was about to tear them all in half.
It was just one fight scene really.
The main bad guy was Moriarty

I understand why people call it dogshit tho, the comics end with a big ass 3 way air battle while london is getting firebombed between Moriarty and some chinese devil doctor guy.
It's sequel ends with James Bond's ancestor launching a bioweapon made by Dr. Moreau into an army of Martians killing everyone within the vicinity. Movie was basically focused on the main cast in a relatively normal world while the comic's world felt more alive. Plus Mina gets a stupid cat suit at the end.
