You pay more for gas if you have a bigger engine. It's why normal people drive 0.9-1.2l cars and the rich can afford 5.0l and bigger

Yes, but with the Saab you only have to pay for having a 2.0l while with a corvette in Europe you'd have to pay for having a 6.0l.
So you'd pay 3x as much as the Saab and 6x as much as a Suzuki Swift

What are you paying for? It obviously isn't some eco bullshit, because they use about the same amount of fossil fuel per mile traveled. What's the reason behind paying for displacement? How can you tolerate this?

In EU half the price is the excise duty. Turkey looks cheaper, but you have to cosnsider the standart of living (70% inflation) and the lower duties. In Russia, the local governors are allowed to dictate prices, and the government subsidizes refineries - last year the government cut the subsidy wihtout allowing the refineries to increase prices which caused refineries to cut production rate and export to outside markets (the -stans, Mongloia), that's why there were gasoline/diesel shortage in the south.

It really depends, around town uses the electric engine 80% of the time so it barely uses any gas, but outside town uses the gas engine a lot more, still, you can get the car to go at 90km/h in EV if you're light on the gas pedal.
But the main issue here is that it's not the most efficient tech out there, a Toyota yaris would have consumed around 4 liters with my conduction style, but I needed to get this Renault clio because my father needs to carry the farm engines and other shit, the Toyota can only carry 450kg meanwhile this does 900kg.
