    Gay thread let's start over.
Is there any benefit from owning a sedan instead of a wagon?

      >lower roll risk/center of gravity
      >better fuel economy/aerodynamics
      >nicer looking
      >more fun to hoon in
      >better storage when rear seats are occupied
      >sometimes better rear seats (against hatch platform CUVs)
this isn't even comparing differences between full size or "sports" sedans against average crossovers

      availability. that's about it

Because the US auto industry wants to pretend wagons or liftbacks don't exist and would like to sell more crossovers women. But yes sedans are basically worthless if you ever actually want to carry more shit than just groceries or passengers.

I had a Corolla Fielder (the SW version in some countries) and holy shit I loved that car. Too bad it's kinda low and doesn't do very well in the MadMax style roads we got over here

      Larger cargo area, more versatile.
sedans with fold down back seats help mitigate the downsides and be more usable, sedans with fixed back seats are just the worst unless it's a 70s yacht where you can put a goldwing in the trunk next to the dead hookers and still shut the lid

Yeah, the sedan doesn't make me want to puke when I look at it.

This, it's not like the shills here even drive crossovers

Not really. Most sedans from 2000+ are practically dogshit. The one model that actually did it right was the Lincoln Town Car. All the legroom, all the 12 dead hookers you can fit in the trunk. Every other sedan is a compromise in every aspect. Shit legroom including the driver, useless trunk space, less comfy.

    Cars really cuck my lifestyle

    Need an SUV or truck

I remember this place wouldn't stfu about Sedans having stronger unibody than Wagons, and then the CTS-V Wagon was faster than Sedan around a tight twisty track

Sedans are cheapened out and neglected. Compare the 330i and is350 to the X3 and NX350 and the difference for what is essentially the same car lifted is insane.

They look better, they handle better, and they'll be faster and more fuel efficient with the same engine as a crossover. Basically the same reasons for getting a sedan over a station wagon.

As far as buying used sedans are definitely a better bargain at this point as they simply aren't as in demand.

      >They look better, they handle better, and they'll be faster and more fuel efficient with the same engine as a crossover

The thing that you failed to understand is that the average car buyer for the last like 15 20 years literally just doesn't give a shit about any of those things anymore

Seemingly so. That's why we live in a dystopia of nothing but matte grey soulless crossovers.

        I still care though.

Just make sure it doesn’t have a 3 cylinder 1200cc motorcycle engine, like your pic.

A bit better fuel economy and usually skinnier so you can slip by cars to make a right turn on red.

What benefit do you have adding 500 lbs to a sedan to get into a crossover?

    >peak commuter transportation was perfected in 1983
    >it continues to be refined and perfected
    >no car has managed to outclass this segment in its practicality
Minivans continue to keep getting better. Even shitty fuel economy isn't an excuse anymore now that Toyota turned the Sienna into a Prius XXL.

Really, the few cases where the minivan falls short is towing or locking 4x4 capability, but that's what trucks are for.
