You can't have both dingus. Good mpg means shit performance.
    >inb4 some mouth breather says telsa and some bullshit about kw per mile.

Let me rephrase this. The look of a sports car, with the mpg of a toyota hybrid? I don't go to the track or participate in street take overs so the performance is meaningless

        Those econobox numbers are bullshit
If you flog it they get sports car mileage and if you baby a sports car you can usually get pretty decent mileage especially on the highway

wait for the new Honda Prelude, it's gonna be a hybrid civic coupe basically
if you don't want to wait you can pick up a 10th gen civic si coupe, although the MPG won't be quite as good as a hybrid it will be a lot more fun to drive (6 speed manual)

Thats not a sports car. I mean lets be honest, you want a lifestyle car with sporty styling, that most people call a hairdressers car, like the gm corvette.

        I got your solution, bud.
First, buy any econocar you want.
Next - and this is the important part so listen close - put a wing on the back. Presto! Sports car.

        >The look of a sports car, with the mpg of a toyota hybrid?
        PHEV - BMW i8
        EV - Performance/Plaid Tesla
Problem is that rational solutions exist for your desired use case but people do not like rational choices when it comes to cars. The EV question is also contentious, and it's primarily reliant on your ability to charge at home privately. If you can, EV makes a lot of sense. If you can't, EV is going to make your life miserable.

Ok I own a Lexus GS450h. It's the Toyota 2GR V6 paired with a beefed up hybrid system that has 340 horses. 0-60 in the mid-5's. You won't get Prius MPGs, but you can certainly crack about 30 MPG or so. It's not exactly what you're describing, but close.

    Miata is always the answer.

No idea what the EPA did to get their numbers, my ND2 has never gone under 32 long term, rarely gets under 30 for a single drive.

      >36 mpg
      >44 mpg
Priuses hit around 60 mpg driven conservatively, with the Prime variant exceeding 120 mpg when plugged in at home and driven mostly EV mode for normal commuting conditions. Decreases to 37 mpg in charge mode.

You can get the slow versions of sports cars. For example, a 4 cylinder camaro should get you around 27mpg. A newer audi tt should get you around 40mpg, and chicks dig audi interiors.

Then just r8 badge swap it and girls are on ya.

Actually I just read OPs second post.

Please don't get a Miata. If I meet one more broccoli haired homosexual driving up the cost of these cars so they can use it as a fashion accessory I'm going to find a way to make mine roll coal out of spite. Buy a civic, they look just like the new mustangs. Every automaker is riding out their economy cars to appeal to you gays, please stop buying actually fun cars.

What kind of economy do the GT86 cars get?

Anyway, I drive a E92 330d and I get about 5.5L per 100KM on the highway, or about 42MPG. Around town and driving hard I get about 30 MPG.

    180KW and about 520NM.

    I drove a E92 335i and I couldn't return anything better than a 33MPG on the highway.

Heard this about BMWs on many occasions. The general implication was most of their gasoline engines are so shitty their diesels are unironically more reliable.
Some other Euro brands, Japanese, American - not so much.
