Frick if I know, ain't got no tach nor does it go 80mph. It's a diesel that revs to a whopping 3750 rpm max, so probably like uhh 1500rpm at around 55mph.

2600 at 80, but I'll have to downshift to accelerate.

        well what do you expect?
its a low powered shitbox, ofc its gonna rev to have any power at high speeds

Dude where's the problem, my old 206 DIESEL did the same. Which was good because it meant it pulled easily in top gear anywhere between 70 and 160 km/h. Nowadays they would make the top gear some eco overdrive shit that couldn't keep up with hills on the highway.

then it tops out at 173 mph, did you expect it to go even further?

i think mine sits at about 3000 in 5th gear at 110 kmh
3.0 toyota cressida with w58. toyota 5 speeds seem to be somewhat low geared. Probably because jap speed limits never go above 100.

I usually set the cruise to 3500rpm which gets me to 70-90mph depending on the conditions. That's decent for a 122hp 4banger and a 4 speed auto compared to the other vehicles in this thread. My shit will do well over 60mph in 2nd gear which means some pretty glacial acceleration off the line but at highway speeds I can still keep up with or pull on modern shitboxes.

Funny enough, both cars have a .67 ratio O/D, 3.27 rear end and 25.7" tall tires. So 2300rpm @ 80mph for both.

kek nip speed limits mean they never really bothered with tall overdrive gears. used a gearing calculator and turns out 3k rpm is about 72 mph/128 kph

nice. man it'd be great to cruise at 70 at just 2000 rpm. i'm assuming 6800 is the redline for your engine? 6200 is my redline (technically 6250 but whatever)

Honestly, my little Jimny's powerhouse needs all the revs it has to get that unaerodynamic box moving. Overtaking someone going 80kmh requires you to unleash absolutely everything it has

I have a MkII Ph1 Twingo GT. In 5th gear at 130 kph it does 4000 rpm (with a 6k rpm redline). The short 5th gear is one of the few things I dislike about the car, so I've bought a new, taller 5th gear set (details here: https://www.twingotuningforum.de/thread-21891.html), which should bring it down to 3300 at 130 kph (or 3800 at 150 kph).

2200 RPM @ 65 mph in 5th gear. It is annoying, I put slightly less gas and the car immediately slows down to 50 mph.

The hatch kills the rear aero, should've got a jetta. In town at 70km/h I get like 5L/100 on flat ground, on a windless day
