Please stop reverse parking.
It’s frequently just inconvenient for other cars to have to wait for you as you carefully navigate into the space, particularly in a crowded lot with limited spaces. In fact, it’s so dangerous and irritating that it’s forbidden in some areas.

that a van won't do as well or better for half the cost and with better fuel economy?

I've considered this, main issue is not fitting in underground garages, right now the best vehicle for me is either a standard low roof transit or a transit connect. Promaster is unreliable and sprinters aren't worth their cost. The metris is a piece of shit. Used to run a Silverado but it fit a quarter of what my transit does and cost a lot more in fuel. Reliability was nice though.

Sure, I pulled the numbers out of my ass.
            However:
Looks like a Summit or Douglass service truck body coupled with a new F-350.
            You do the math.
I'm not gonna contact a Sales rep to get a Quote from them.
Suffice it to say that the Transit Van is less than half of the cost, or are you gonna argue on that point too?

            Anonymous

You do realize that a base transit is 49k starting right? Adding shit like awd and shelving puts it into the 60k range which is where a cab and chassis 3/4 gasser some in at. Hell a base cab and chassis f350 is less than the base transit if we are really picking on it. The extra 10-15k for a new service body is well worth it compared to the transit.

            >The extra 10-15k for a new service body is well worth it compared to the transit.
Now that seems like a lowball figure.
I can't make out the Manufacturer in picrel to investigate, but other brands run roughly double that for such a design

This makes no sense since you will have to do the same slow maneuvers when leaving with a front parked car which are actually more dangerous since you're backing out with parked cars blocking both of your sides

From what I've seen it's mostly trucks used by the trades. A lot of journeymen use trucks or truck/trailer setups. Vans definitely make more sense in some situations though. I'd say it's 60/40 trucks/vans.

If we deported all the illegals and revoked citizenship/deported criminals we could reconfigure parking lots to be exclusively single-row drive-through spaces. And not just because of the drop in population, we could have safe public transportation that normal (predominately White) people would actually use.
