This makes no fricking sense. I always have to question the collation method and who's being surveyed when I see these.

Like is a Ram owner going to complain less or more and try to get shit warrantied than say new buyer of a say Lincoln or BMW.

The I see Tesla at always near the bottom and wonder if it is accurate.

dodge launched the hornet, which is a smoking pile of shit that doesn’t sell

meanwhile Ram (up till very recently) sold the same truck they’ve been selling since 2018, with an engine since 2004, and a transmission since 2015. theyve got the quality pretty nailed down. time will tell on the new ones with the I6

Luxury vehicles are complicated and have more features. Basically you get more goodies but it also means more shit can break. It isn't a rule but it probably contributes to pushing those values to where they are.

Is there anyone out there systematically trying to measure legit long term reliability?

        Anonymous

No, because almost all humans are all impulsive short-sighted morons who only care about instant dopamine gimmick new shiny bing bing wahoo

Only traumatized immigrants from 3rd-prostituteld shitholes like China and India care about reliability, because they value long-term stability/reliability given their upbringings. They choose Toyota

i think the closest you get is Consumer Reports, and I think Car&Driver, they do long term test reviews

        >What part of "initial" is confusing to you?
An equally valid "study" would put Acura highest because alphabetically it comes first. J. D. Power is a marketing firm, the results are predetermined by whomever paid for the listing. J. D. Power just finds a way to explain away the results and calls it a "study". If J. D. Power was a legitimate engineering company, they would have engineers instead of market analysts.

        TL/DR, J. D. Power made an ad.

          >TL/DR, J. D. Power made an ad.
Pretty sure they just posted stats of what cars had problems in the first 90 days. You know, the initial quality of a car?
Then, mysteriously, labeled this "initial quality".
          Weird, yes?
