It blows my mind that car washes are a reasonably solvent business.
I guess it's justifiable if you live in a housing unit without easy access to a hose, but otherwise? It's such a waste.

here we have hard as frick water. If it's a warm dry day you will never dry it fast enough

Those threads you've seen clowning on people who live in apartments but still drive fancy cars come to mind, but also high income customers likely find it worth the $15 or so to drive through a gas station car wash instead of going to the trouble themselves

I go here. It's 8 bucks for the basic wash and it gets my truck cleaner than I ever could by hand

are you entirely sure about that?

Water drop falls on car, displaces the dust that is on the car. Water drop dries off leaving behind dust in a circle shape

Are you anon? Airborne pollution is contaminating rainwater pretty badly.

Wont reasonably pull off bird shit, dirt, soot, pollen, or any other caked on shit. Have to handwash my car, as after a week the rear end gets pretty dirty. Same goes for wheels. Ironically, its the bottom of the car that I never wash, just spray down with fluid film twice a year.

Rain doesn't actually get rid of the dirt. It might even make it look worse because the dirt piles up

    >looking forward to the free carwash
    >rain stops while driving
    >perfect, drive off the water
    >have to drive next to a busted pipe near the road
    >car is covered in deep water spots when I go to dry it next morning
    Or
    >the clouds part for five minutes and the sun absolutely roasts the car right after the rain ends
    Or
    >gets fricking windy and makes sure the car gets dirty is hell when I get to it
EVERY TIME. The alternative is looking like an insane person and drying off the car at like 1 in the morning.

They usually have change machines because they're cheaper than hiring someone to sit there all day on the off chance someone like you comes along with no quarters. Or go to a bank and ask for some quarters. If this is too hard you may as well just end it all because your mommy should have scrambled you with a coat hanger while you were still a pile of jizz.
