Dumbfrick here. I thought mini was made by BMW, and since they'e sportscars with everything crammed into tiny compartments, I would expect them to be terrible for reliability.

I also thought BMWs were terrible for reliability.

And what the frick happened to Volkswagon.

    Also, lets laugh at Chrysler.

Tesla's regularly fail inspection here, they're so piggu fat that their suspensions melt like chocolate. it's not uncommon that a Model Y needs 4 completely new suspenions after two years. Last year there was a case of a Model Y taxi that literally lost a wheel before completing the first inspection interval.

any cars above 4000 lbs are shit because of this especially when heavy used
wear and tear just explodes starting around 3800 lbs
brakes, rods, tire tread, clutch or part of the auto, bearings and bearing guides, ...

How much of this is due to the owners of these brands being moronic?
If the same population of Chrysler owners bought Lexus instead, how reliable would Lexus appear to be?

in another thread, Chrysler was rated higher than POrsche, now they suddenly dropped down to the bottom. Acura was rated low, now they're rated high. tesla was rated the lowest, now they're middle of the pack.

Consumer Report's reliability rankings vary wildly from year to year.

Am I moron? Just got my CH-R, first ever hybrid. When I turned it on I didn't hear the engine, sometimes it took 10 seconds for it to start up, I thought it was already broken, sometimes it didn't turn on at all. Took me 3 days to realize only the electric engine turns on when you start the car first, I couldn't hear it cause it's electric

i'm surprised it doesn't start the engine to get it warmed up before it has to do any driving. maybe it flows warm coolant from the electric motor through it to warm it up. i don't know.

Idling isn't good for engines. It's better to warm them up with a small load.

idling for two minutes to get the oil up to temperature isn't going to blow the rods out the side of the block.
          >small load
alternators and a/c compressors are a "small load"

is this american >customer report bullshit again?
negru. there are plenty of countries with MOT that keep the statistics on which car fails how often, you don't need to ask Cletus for his opinion.

They're putting fricking plastic intakes on and around the beemer engines. They're designed to get damaged and blow just AFTER the warranty for miles is up. Pure evil bullshit.
