      long ago i had multiple e30m3s and mechanic friend had a grey market 190evo2
      we swapped cars for a week and the 190 felt better as a daily (cruising interstate, merging onramps, better seats/ergonomics) ... but was too oversprung and handled worse
      doesn't really matter because they are all moronly expensive so no one drives them anymore

      You're comparing a regular E30 M3 to 190 Evo 2. A fairer comparison would be the limited production Sport Evo M3, which is worth just as much as if not more than the 190 Evo 2. A regular 190 Cosworth it worth pennies compared to an M3.

    Everything about it is just set up for maximum collector autism. A generic E30 M3 was manufactured in much greater numbers, you'd have to look at a Sport Evolution or something to get into the equivalent price bracket.

    Also for what it's worth, the standard 2.3-16 is a far cheaper car.

    The 190e will be a bank account in the future. Most of these were sent to Africa and other 3rd world shitholes to use as taxis and end up looking like this.
    The 190e evo will remain as a time capsule for the cool cars they used to make in the 80s and 90s. You'll never see such unique cars again

    The W201 is a beautiful platform. I owned a 2.6 myself and loved it despite it actually being a giant abused and beat up pile of shit where nothing worked and it barely ran
