    What's this supposed to convey?
    That there's less people watching?
Anyways, I've seen an interview from the dude who was at the site where the car got rammed into the wall by the other driver, pretty wild that the homosexual just kept accelerating while carrying the other car on his front.

Anon, it's no secret, they made a public statement when they made the change.

Purpose of F1 is to market car brands.
Since most cars are now turbo micropenis engines and eggshit, they made a change to make the race cars more relatable to consoomer product.

And they are right, wouldn't it feel like a slap in the face if the winner drove a V8/10/12 honda but you could only buy one with a turbocharged motorcycle engine when you walked into the dealership.

      >switch to hybrid engines for greenwashing
      >safety shit
      >no refueling mid-race means larger fuel cells
      >aero regulations allow for massive overhangs
      >moronic switch from 13" to 18" wheels for fashion reasons
all of that adds bulk and weight. supposedly they're going to shrink the car for 2026. they're probably embarrassed by shit like almost 200 overtakes at the Formula E Monaco race

F1 has never had anything to do with homologation, I don't think the avg F1 fan would care if they can't get F1 tech in their street cars

f1 is a place for manufacturers to pump r&d money for testing ideas that will trickle down later in their commercial vehicles
the customers want 1.6l turbo hybrids, so that's what their toys will mostly revolve around

The F1 cars are the size of moving trucks & their performance has outgrown the track. Racing is now a giant commercial
and a tax rightoff for manufacturers R&D. Overtakes are low on the priority list.

Modern F1 cars just don't look good.
Ferrari tries but there is only so much you can with the goose necked shit they are forced to race now.
1979 through 2009 was the best F1 cars looked, and after 2004 they already started looking way too busy

F1 is supposed to just be another set of regulations like GT3 or LMP, in this case the highest performance open wheel series. Anyone theoretically could run a championship to those regulations (and they used to, like the British F1 championship and the Australian Tasman series), and anyone could build a car to meet those regulations. The issue is how over the years F1 has been carved off into its own identity separate from other racing and has been positioned as a marketing stunt for large OEMs like Mercedes and Honda. These are the main issues that have dragged the sport down to where it is today.
F1 won't be great again until we have a half dozen regional non-championship races alongside the world championship, and we have engine shops like Judd and Ilmor back in.
