      Maybe I have to take a seat in an MK5 because the car's tiny nature draws me to it. 97-inch wheelbase is unheard of nowadays, literally shorter than the MK4. I daily drive a G37 coupe with a 112-inch wheelbase and an LS430 occasionally with a 115-inch, so it'd be a nice change of pace.

      The GR86 is even tinier, what are you talking about? Toyobaru is smaller, has a shittier interior, and is way slower both in straight line and in terms of handling without mods. It also gets Whittier mpg. Supra is an all around better BMW.

        It doesn't feel nearly as cramped inside. It's much more comfortable to me. Did you have a different experience when you compared the two?
        The main thing about the Supra, I think, is the visibility. Between the roofline, the beltline, and the dashboard, I wasn't able to see out very well. I think that added to the overall feeling of being too enclosed.

          I own a A90 MT and I agree with you, the 86 has a more driver-friendly interior, even if it's lower quality. Visibility in the Supra is awful. While I don't feel claustrophobic, it impacts how I make right turns and how close I get to walls on my right when I do track days. Can't wait to find out how much worse it is if I put proper bucket seats in and lower my seating position

            Parking hasn't been a problem for me, and at home I have a weird situation where my garage is at the bottom of a short and steep hill, so I kind of have to sneak it down the hill and do a sharp left into the garage. The visibility problem that I have is front right, so seeing how far the right side of the car is away from the edge of a track or a curb when taking a right turn takes some getting used to, and once the a-pillar even hid some oncoming traffic when I was taking a left, so I have to be really careful about peeking around it when turning. A lot of people say that it feels like being in a coffin, but I think the letterbox effect from the windshield and the tiny rear port is kino

        It doesn't, I've driven both.
        The Supra's roof isn't as wide and your head sits in a the nutsack of a roof. It looks way better and the fit and finish is leagues ahead, but in terms of just interior space and windshield size the 86 does have it beat.
        This is because the 86's target demographic is people too poor to own a dedicated sports car. This is also why the 86 has the design spec of needing to fit a full set of wheels in the back with the rear seat down, because Toyota knew most 86 owners probably couldn't afford a truck and trailer for track day.

        mk3 is second best. nice cars but the mk4 had better equipment. mk4 has better equipment than mk5 too. forged bones on each corner in the fricking 90s, mk5 is mcdonalds on all 4 and plastic engine in the current year. dont take it from me though, just look at the prices of these cars used.

    MK3 is peak supra, not even, peak automobile styling. I don't bother argue with you weebs, I am factually right. I wish it were not a gt car and could be the ultimate driving machine. its design, interiors included, is magnificent, designed by a modest and beautiful mind. It is effortlessly absolute peak car design. Nucars will never come close. It looks even better than an NSX, there I'll say it unironically.

    MK1 is way too awkward, it has all the worst design decisions from the era
    MK2 is a huge improvement, fixed all the design flaws of the MK1 and made everything look appealing
    MK3 is the best of them all, it took the MK2 design and made it cleaner, with a touch of the 944 inspiration that all jap sportscars had at that time
    MK4 is way too round, makes it look bloated, also the chrome wheels are ugly
    MK5 sucks, it's clear that it was a design intented for a much bigger chassi slapped into the BMW Z4 one, still it's pretty good for it's limitations
