Why buy a new car?

Why buy when my 05 Corolla will last another 500k miles, only needing oil changes?

If you're like many, who consider their car only to be an appliance, then there's no reason to sell it. If you have ANY bit of car enthusiast in you, you'd sell it in a heartbeat.

Or you keep it as the winter/backup beater and buy something actually cool. Having 2+ cars so you have the option of disabling your cool car for longer projects is the best way.

Pfffft get a load of this non-enthusiast
The correct course of action is to have 2 cars, one of which you LIE TO YOURSELF and say it's just the reliable daily, then you proceed to "mod" BOTH CARS until they're both off the road, then you catch the bus.
Bonus pts for buying extra non-working project cars to fill the yard with.

          >catching the bus
I don't think I've ever actually ridden the bus. I have enough shitboxes that at least one is partially running at any given time.

I bought a shitbox for 4k and I haven't done anything to it for three years other than changing the headlights lmao

We get it, you're poor, but not everyone else is. If you lined up ten Americans, it's likely that one of them makes $200k.
Is it really that unfathomable to you that there are people who are more successful than a moron like you?

No it's completely fathomable to me that someone would so desperately want to appear not poor that they buy a new car every few years so everyone can see how not poor they are, then proceed to enter a DA thread to tell everyone they're not poor.

What's the point of owning a car when an Adventure Xootr is almost as good plus gives you well needed exercise?
