Because they're all Americans who wish they were born Japanese and don't care about cartoons at all, they're practically ashamed of it and can only see improvement through it becoming like anime. Ironically some earlier anime inspired shows still felt like cartoons and not ashamed of it
Complete systematic genocide of weebs and cartoons would slowly improve

a fairy tail reference? really? for what purpose?

    Fairy Tail is not good
the shows plot is constantly going out of its way to intentionally mislead the viewers to set up 'twists'

Peter is a weeb in that show, that's his character. There's a reason for this quick 3 second cameo. Stop being a sperg.

Yeah and it’s outdated. Anime fans don’t act like that anymore. They are all zoomer Blacks who talk about how great One Piece is yet think Nami is a sexist caricature

incorrect, only white anime "fans" give a frick about that shit.
The black ones are only interested in fights and powerlevel wankery and usually consider sexy women a positive, they didn't even bat an eye at the underaged incest in shit like JJK.

People try to force liking shounen into being a bad thing because apparently too many nonwhites watch them, and then these little aryans watch the most literal tranime fricking slop of all time. Estrogenized race

I won't speak on enjoying shounen as an adult or whatever, but I will never understand the white anime fans on DA who act like 90% of the people b***hing about "problematic" elements in anime aren't white (usually women or trannies).
There's a reason these people only ever b***h about scantily clad women and harems and shit and not tropey, indulgent yuri/yaoi romance.

Because it's all fricking schizophrenic delusions, they need to lump ALL the things they don't like into the same hypothetical enemy. This type of shitposting has been more common recently. You'll take the most common or even the most innocuous shit, like someone placing a fricking floor tile out of step with a pattern. Their mind immediately goes to
            >ugh typical khazakstani muslims why are ethnic Sami Finns like this?
Even if it goes against every fricking stereotype they spent years trying to propagate
This is the perfect example. Dirty stinky brownoids are supposed to be evil horny rapists, and now they're making them into the soiboy white male feminist. It's just schizophrenic

This show had a Thundarr reference so I guess they do care a bit about old HB shows. In the 90's and 00's, every CN show felt like it was done by people who loved even the shittiest of HB cartoons

Genuinely what does this even mean? You just said a bunch of nonsense and nothing in picrel suggests that other than being a reference.

Why would they? If they love anime, quality is clearly not a major consideration.

I imagine it's a lot like when I watch a competitive cooking show such as Hell's Kitchen, and suddenly have a lot of opinions about pan searing technique. Everyone does it. Animators do it. Heck, you and I are kind of doing it right now. We're all just fronting a bit.
This is more of a function of how popular anime has become. Before anime, shows were making references to Disney movies whose technical quality is far beyond their reach.

    >Why do modern cartoons feel the need to boast about how much they love anime
Animators are now growing up from a generation of weebs. The underageb& of yesteryear is now the illustrator of most recent cartoons.
    >very few effort into making their own shows good?
Sadly, many of their peers aren't weebs. And are comfortable only in the safe cheap sketchy artstyles you've been seeing since 2007 thanks to the advent of flash cartoons from Canada and comedy shows pushed in the states. It's also too expensive to make appealing characters, so executives curb all other attempts at upping the standards of animation.

I don't get why you people sperg out any this. Anime references in 2020s cartoons is like cartoons from the 90s having celebrity parodies. It's the current zeitgeist.
