    >to drive (i.e. work, eat, have any social interaction at all), you either have to pay $1.50/kWh to charge an EV or buy a SDEULEV++ CARB-1337 certified 1.0T emissions cuckbox and have it smogged 26 times a year.
i love how the whole californian neoliberal mindset boils down to "STOP EXISTING!!!".

It makes sense when you realize how many of them there are these days. I used to live in the suburbs about an hour away from SF as a kid, and 4 lanes on I-80 was always plenty. It started getting congested in about 2016, and at this point it's practically a parking lot until past midnight.

Turns out having 5m illegals in the state really fricks over all the infrastructure that's built and funded as if there's 5m less people

It makes sense, California is geographically and meteorologically a really nice place. Like working as a system administrator with no users, or a schoolteacher with no pupils, living in California would be amazing if it weren't for all those fricking Californians (and Mexicans).

Gas stations require power to pump fuel.

Buy electric car, charge it with 12kw diesel generator running on home heating oil. Sike!

      Anonymous

That's basically what they all do anyways, except that the generator is much larger, located miles away, and owned by someone else.

and yet it's still more efficient than burning gasoline in an cuckinson cycle prius i4

How does your gas pump work without electricity frickface? Solar means IFGAF what the grid says, I'm getting energy even if the fricking world ended. Your gas goes bad in 3 months - if you actually owned a home you'd know this because your lawn mower would be fricked in springtime you rentoid cuckold.

Yes, because it takes JUST as much energy to pump a few gallons of gas as it does to move a soulless electric transport pod and therefore places just as much load on the grid.

If a storm takes out your power it doesnt matter how little power you think a gas station uses to stay open, its turning off.

          Anonymous

Some stations have generators that can run the pumps and or refrigerators.

so we agree that power outages aren't a big deal?

If you have a 100KWH ev, you might need to run a 5kw generator overnight to get 50% charge. It would be pretty inconvenient and noisy not having a gas car during an outage

I have solar and a battery, why would I need a generator? My power is free from the sun.
