I actually rented one from uhaul to move some furniture(just needed a bed, not a whole box truck) and was shocked at how smooth the ride was and how sting the engine felt. I’m used to Toyotas(sequoia, tundra) and see why people give them so much shit for being clunky and underpowered. Of course I expect the Toyota to give me 250k with no drivetrain problems. I’m sure GM trucks will need some preventative maintenance if not a new transmission to hit that point.

It has no practical use. The bed is tiny and you are wasting money on gas much higher than most people. Not to mention the price tag. If you need a truck to move stuff around, buy a shit truck and just drive a sedan to get around daily. It's a complete waste of money and why a lot of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck

It likely has the G80 auto locker. Like it matters anyways. These are just commuter vehicles. Nobody will be doing any real 4x4'ing with them. Most people just use the 4x4 to get the holeshot in the winter.

The 6.6 gasser is pretty far from problem free and you're still dealing with a slightly beefed up version of the "whiplash" troony found in the GM and Ford half tons. 3/4 tons also aren't going to ride as nice as a half ton. I would say get the half ton if you're going to lease or a 3/4 ton if you plan on keeping it. I would still pick the 7.3 gasser F-250 over a GM.
