        old / pre 2000s cars have more comfme interiors, I don't have a clear justification for this.

        slightly less friction from the piston rings
        better exhaust scavenging
        can be forced to run slightly more smoothly than an inline 4
        shorter ? not that this matters too much .esp given the use of free valve

        everything else being equal, including total displacement, a 3 cylinder engine will have less emissions than a 4 cylinder one.

      The reason I don't like it (in theory, I haven't driven it) is that it is pigfat and overly complicated. The OG NSX was simple and barely strong enough to pass crash testing for how much weight they kept out of it. It was also fairly underpowered. But

    Went to the Ferrari Challenge event at Brands Hatch last weekend and saw so many of these, they're just kinda dull. In fact, all the recent Ferraris just look so boring. The best looking Ferrari there was a California.

    Also, the sound of the 488 Challenge EVO is insane. Maybe it's the turbo they throw in there, but it doesn't sound like any V8 I've ever heard. There wasn't really a roar of the engine, it was more a whooshing of air, especially when you're behind it. Sounds like a jet turbine.
