old / pre 2000s cars have more comfme interiors, I don't have a clear justification for this.
slightly less friction from the piston rings
better exhaust scavenging
can be forced to run slightly more smoothly than an inline 4
shorter ? not that this matters too much .esp given the use of free valve
the amount of unburnt fuel exhausted is proportional to the total circumference of cylinder heads
everything else being equal, including total displacement, a 3 cylinder engine will have less emissions than a 4 cylinder one.
>4-cyl AMG
The only way MB could've pulled that off and kept their hotrod enthusiasts happy is if they somehow made their 4 cylinder make double the power of the V8 and hand all of the torque right off of idle, to compensate for halving the cylinder count.
just an ugly sedan
the general body proportions are similar to something like a quattroporte, but like all german brands in the 2020s, they made it a hideous bulgelord
The reason I don't like it (in theory, I haven't driven it) is that it is pigfat and overly complicated. The OG NSX was simple and barely strong enough to pass crash testing for how much weight they kept out of it. It was also fairly underpowered. But

news flash: they're all shit. they're being made because of overreaching government regulation, not because of high demand.
>they're all shit. they're being made because of overreaching government regulation, not because of high demand.
is pretty spot on.
Went to the Ferrari Challenge event at Brands Hatch last weekend and saw so many of these, they're just kinda dull. In fact, all the recent Ferraris just look so boring. The best looking Ferrari there was a California.
Also, the sound of the 488 Challenge EVO is insane. Maybe it's the turbo they throw in there, but it doesn't sound like any V8 I've ever heard. There wasn't really a roar of the engine, it was more a whooshing of air, especially when you're behind it. Sounds like a jet turbine.
>especially in person
These things are fricking hideous. A few of my military buddies made a bet that we'll only see arabs and asian women driving these things around base and we've yet to be proven wrong a year later. People really do not like this look unless they simp hard for BMW.
>i don't care about propulsion systems so long as it's fast >banks need to hard cap 2024-2030 auto loans to $50k and watch automakers adjust to $50k >fifteen year ban on auto loans if debtor defaults on auto purchase or gets repo'd >ban tire and rim poke
Crosleys are nice classics, if you plan on staying inside of a city or are taking country roads.
(Trust me, highway driving in one of these is horrible).
The SSR should depreciate as quickly as HHRs and PT Cruisers, just simply because they are hideous.
Based. You can also get a matching radio and a fridge.
of course not, how about the chinkshit front ends that they use instead of the traditional Ferrari smile?
Granted this is an inline 3
Why would they make a 2.0 3 cylinder instead of a 4?
Exhaust sound ? Or maximizing the vibration ? I have no idea.
why use lot cylinders when few cylinders do trick
Sounds way better
less moving parts less energy loss
Might be easier to balance i guess?

Are you trying to say that a 3 cylinder is better?
its better, but also worse. to get around its shortcomings requires adding a bunch of extra parts onto it.

Or is it a V8? They offer both
the koenigsegg camless i3 makes just as much hp as Ferrari’s v6
>DA said the new NSX was shit because its a hybrid V6, yet Ferrari, Mclaren, and copied it, and GM even benchmarked it

lol this company must have some humiliation fetish

They're German, if that tells you anything
Germans - they also enjoy getting pissed at.

Is this a sedan or a crossover? it looks bloated
just an ugly sedan

I probably would get that car if it didn't cost $90 or whatever overpriced B's they want
if you hurry you can probably still get the first one off the production line.
underrated
Literally most hope inspiring headline I've seen so far in 2024.
>less powerful
*
Most of the time the M3 will be making more power
It was ahead of time. Back in 2015 the average midwit didn't realize the performance potential
the 296 is rwd and isn't as fat

>He doesn't like the new Ferrari this month
Bi sharafak. Sounds like poor seethe, habibi. Ya haram.
I love high-revving engines with gutless low-end.
Pumping engine noise into the cabin is fine, only ricers/posers complain about it
Left foot braking is useful and everyone should learn that.

>and sounds nice
I somehow doubt it sounds better than a v12
There's no reason to buy an automatic sportscar now that EVs are a thing
4 cylinders can sound good. Ex. Abarath, I30n
Yeah, if you add another four
tfw no abarth panda
500 is too womanly for me
>Abarath
If you're talking about the 500, it sounds like shit
>I30n
Isn't that Korean
And every 4cyl motorcycle ever.
I don't like the design of the countach
I enjoy driving my BMW.
the front end on these has really grown on me, especially in person
i have a wart that's growing on me, specifically on my ass, that looks better than those things.

You literally do not need anything more.
I need RWD
isnt that just a heavier cylinderlet jag XJ?
>400 HORSEPOWER
Isn't it FWD?
Torque converters are objectively the best transmission for non-track vehicles
I like mini's
i am loving the offroader renaissance. in like 10 years there will be a bajillion used vehicles with 4lo and a locking rear diff
I've mostly been a bimmer guy and always wanted an E9x M3, but lately, the IS F has been speaking to me more
