No it's not you fricking homosexual. He often tests things related to automobiles in a small engine to test it's claims and compare against other products.
Oh yeah, let's post this to /b/ and see how long it takes to turn into a troony porn thread instead.
I wish boards/mods would get it through their thick skull that certain boards have a certain audience/members and posting it to "ThE ApProPriAtE BoARd" like a homosexual Redditor is going to put it in front of a lot of people that won't give you the answer you're looking for. This is super common with /misc/ as /bant/ is technically where a lot of things should be posted but it's a shitty dead board and you want to direct the question to /misc/
Completely different content. PF is turboautist product comparisons, like a less housewife Consumer Reports, and Donut is "LOOK AT DEM NEATO CARS DO NEATO CAR STUFF YEEHAW!". I'm with what some others have said about at least Donut being car-positive in a world that's trying to make us all ride the fricking bus or a bicycle to work like complete and utter defeated cucks.
I think he is vastly underappreciated. No cringey humor, no constant merch plugs, no misleading clickbait titles, and doesn't make a 20 minute video with 15 minutes of le XD funny adventure with 5 minutes of actual related content. 10/10 YouTuber.
Lots of ill-timed autist laughs, though. Dude is clearly heavily on the spectrum. Guess it works for him, though, at least his videos are properly objective.
>He took money of israeliteTechTips and made a super biased video on that chink screwdriver, so frick him and frick you too
thuh liberal media is controlling the world and everything is a conspiracy
>shows on-screen the tests done >every single one of them relevant to a ratcheting screwdriver >LTT even placed extremely poorly in one category and mediocre in another >Overall LTT wasn't even the #1 screwdriver
I think you're just really fricking mad about how Linus is making bank living his dream and you're sitting at your 10 year old computer pissing your diaper before your 10 hour burger king shift.

the only category that is most important to a ratcheting screwdriver

my recollection is the complete opposite its main issue was how poor it held neutral/locked position, which is basically irrelevant

Not him and not jealous of Linus (I don't want to scramble to make YouTard videos every day about nonsense), but it's undeniable Linus is 99% where he is because of RNGesus and not actual talent or ability, at least not beyond many other less popular youtubers I've seen.
Linus is only famous/big because his former employer wanted to start making "help" videos (free advertisement) when youtube was young, then spun that out into his own channel and took that following and then happened to make lots of videos that pleased the youtube algorithm. There's now way that squeaky voiced lawn gnome would've hit it big if it wasn't for a lot of lucky dice rolls. There are definitely worse youtubers out there, but he's far from the expert he thinks he is on a lot of tech and he definitely doesn't recognize that his success is 90% algorithm, 10% content. The only think I really don't like is that he named his channel and never rebranded from "Linus Tech Tips". I hate anyone that puts their name in a company brand (unprofessional, amateur, and super narcissistic) and at this point he should rebrand to something that's more universal. Who the frick wants merch that says "LTT" on it when A) most people won't know what it stands for B) most people would say "why would you want a mug about tech tips from some dude named Linus?".
How do we know he took money? Have you used the LTT driver? IMO I highly doubt LTT did much besides pick a driver they liked that was already made and customized the handle and put their logo on it. As a mechanical engineer, the tooling for a high volume tool like that is insanely expensive and if the internals are forged that's a whole other level of expertise involved that I don't think a channel full of borderline clickbait youtube computer content could afford or would want to invest in that. I also feel that $70 is way too much for a ratcheting screwdriver in the first place.
>thoughts on project farm?
He has a few haters in DA but they seem to have emotional reasons instead of rational ones. Probably because Todd (Project Farm) is guesstimated to make more money from his youtube videos than from his farm as large as it is since you can see that grassy airstrip he sometimes does his tests on.
As for Todd being a farmer yet also being on the internet Youtube, tech is not a stranger to farmers. Many times, farmers use tech sooner than home consumers do. For instance, it took a long time before my city started having roof maintenance companies use commercial drones to spray roofs with anti-moss chemicals. But farmers had already long been using drones to spray insecticide or herbicides on their tighter denser fields because the rows no longer need to be separated wide enough for tractor tires. The other advantage is that the propeller wash helps move some of the pesticide to the underside where some pests hide. As a result, fewer applications of pesticide need to be made in the season and thus less pesticide is used.
It would take many hours to edit and to take all those camera shots so I don't see why he shouldn't get paid. I find him generally entertaining to watch once in a while, on some of his old videos he used to repeat things he said a bit but no so much anymore.
Go-to channel before buying anything. When he started out and filled a lawnmower engine will gravel to simulate the wear of not using a filter, I figured he sucked and was a waste of time. I was wrong. Love his testing rigs.
Dude I have a cordless hammer, you need to get with technology these days!
I have a bluetooth circular saw also. I heard festool is even coming out with a bluetooth air compressor
I took his advice on the turtle wax spray shit once I got a shitbox with paint. wasn't disappointed.
he could go full autismo and improve in a lot of the testing but he does a decent job from what I've seen.
I used to like his channel lots but have noticed recently how mild he is towards failed products in testing. It turns out he basically now shills Amazon products because they are paying him too and he has affiliate links.
He doesn't hide this fact but once I realised it was happening his bias became more obvious.
well he doesn’t test automobiles, he tests tools. I like his channel, but I think OP is a wrong category homosexual.

Project Farm is better than anything by doughnut media
Imagine having that meth head Black person rig something on your car. Scary.
thats a very very very low bar to cross

Agreed except for
>no misleading clickbait titles
>IS THIS 20$ CHINESE DRILL BETTER THAN YOUR MILWAUKEE?
capslock is not clickbait
>no misleading clickbait titles
>IS THIS 20$ CHINESE DRILL BETTER THAN YOUR MILWAUKEE?
Misleading?
well was it? how did you find out the answer?
Well, I mean, was it?

He took money of israeliteTechTips and made a super biased video on that chink screwdriver, so frick him and frick you too.
somebody's angry, waaaaaaaaaaah! cry more baby, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!! baby want his bottle? waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

...but call him a israelite and see how he recoils in horror "I've been found out."
The only thing I disagree with him on is buying the newer Snap-on screwdriver design, he should have got the og
he paid for the screw driver and didnt even recommend it, just laid out the results for you to compare with the others
he deliberately changed his tests so the ltt screwdriver ranks high
how did he change his tests
Anon, are these tests in the room with us right now?
frick you, man. it was real in his mind

Based testing man. I bought seafoam because of him.
pretty well thought out reviews. Dude spends alot of money to test stuff the way i wish i could be fore i buy. Im a big fan.
I think he gets a lot of Patreon support, so the cost of buying things to compare is probably well outweighed.

not typically inaccurate, but the screwdriver vid that just dropped has some major deviations that line up with shenanigans
It would take many hours to edit and to take all those camera shots so I don't see why he shouldn't get paid. I find him generally entertaining to watch once in a while, on some of his old videos he used to repeat things he said a bit but no so much anymore.
Solid content, no drama. I want to see more videos about his farm. The one he posted a while ago was great.
His series on alternative fuel sources and rechargeable batteries are the best.

It hard to believe but its a screwdriver that ratchets.

I think Pennzoil is sold out partially because of him. It's not available anywhere. Be in denial, but it's the best oil out there.
I was and still am using AMSOIL. that's the one he chose as #1
>I was and still am using AMSOIL.
BAM
>I was and still am using AMSOIL
Never gotta worry about anything, just redline that engine til the sun comes up

I don't hate him but I no longer trust him.
but if product failed in front of camera how could he shill it
Froggy kermit sounding c**t making content for the dunning kruger crowd.
6/10 would bang
Can't stand his voice. Honestly I watch this channel with subs on and volume of. His voice just makes my skin crawl.
