Just a reminder: The police can seize your footage to prove you were speeding.
Proofs
Only if you're an absolute frick wit. Doesn't happen to regular people.
But you should never advertise that you have a dash cam to anyone. Quietly save the footage and use it as evidence for insurance or in court.

Australia has no freedom so this is no surprise.
No country is truly free
I can drive without buying 3rd party insurance, you can't legally do that in America.
It's a good system though. Most people can't afford to buy someone a new car out of pocket if they're at fault. It ensures that collision victims are made whole again.
Until you crash into someone who is uninsured anyway.
That's less than 1% of drivers
Also let the other people lie about the wreck to the police then tell them you have the footage for extra fun.
moron doesn't wipe or encrypt data when its unnecessary
no they can't.
Joke's on them - I'm not speeding.
have a nice day, nerd. You will never amount to anything.

Doesn't record when car is off without messing with a bunch of things though.
Then what’s the point?
Viofo A119 for a decent all around camera for ~$100.
Vantrue also seems to be decent, I've only used the R2 but it was fine
Viofo A129 Pro, Vantrue and one or two others. After checking reviews in forums I opted for the Viofo since it is easy to use and has less problems. It works in my case. None is perfect. The video quality at night is bad in the case of all of them, even with the (overpriced) polarisation filter which helps a bit. Looking forward to the next gen of dashcams.
The 4K version is worth it imo. A 256 GB card offers 13h recording in 4k at high settings, after that it overrides the oldest file automatically.
I've used it for a roadtrip to make nice videos and the result is ok- not the best quality but I can present the videos to show the quality
>but I can present the videos to show
the scenery.
What are the 4th and 5th amendments?
It's not an unreasonable seizure when it's suspected you committed a crime.
whats a good action cam for motorcycle helmet?
Whatever it is, you need these key features
1) good quality camera where the license plate can be clearly seen (so atleast 1080p quality is required, EXTREMELY IMPORTANT)
2) automatic accident detection that saves the last 5-10 minutes of clip for you
2b) that works while the car is parked and when someone hits your car while in parking
3) has battery mode so that it can run while the car is off
4) SD CARD slot or USB (none of the cloud-only bullshit where you cant extract the files yourself, additional cloud is extra not a substitute)
5) atleast two cameras (front facing and rear facing) and 1 audio
Anything Garmin.
We had this thread last month you fricking homosexual. Do you have a walnut brain?
>I spend all my free time browsing 4chum homosexual bucket
Sad!
>What’s a good dash cam?
The one posted with example photos in the archived road trip thread at https://archive.4plebs.org/o/thread/25688039/#q25688039
Search for the word dashcam and you'll see examples of photos from the 4K dashcam used on the road trip. Picrel - help I can't breathe
Cobra makes some pretty decent ones.
Dont get a blackvue. I bought one for my chick when she got her X1. It's trash. It records everything in one minute clips. I got it cause the reviews said the iphone app worked well and she has an iphone. Did she ever set up the app? No.
Viofo A119v3 is the best value.
