They don't when you run modern tires on them and use common sense. The transmission is at the rear and you almost sit over the rear axle in these so they actually put their power down pretty well compared to other high power F/R vehicles. I can floor a 200hp pickup truck on a icy turn and spin out too. Power really has nothing to do with it.

Weight transfers to the rear under acceleration, lightening the steering and reducing steering input. It got a little squirrely. He steered into the skid and then let off the gas. The weight slammed back down on the fronts giving sudden traction to the steers, while at the same time reducing traction from the rears.
Looks like he was pretty quick on trying to correct, but the sideways force imparted to the rear in that first few milliseconds of the fronts regaining full grip kicked it out.
You can see his tires are straight here, but he needed to be countersteering the other way to catch it
So much grip on the fronts with the weight transferred to it and so little on the rear when spun up or going sideways = loop de loop if you don't catch it within the first tenth of a second.
A "great handling car" can become a very bad handling car with too much power applied, shifting tremendous amounts of handling from one end to the other.
Its why sports cars don't need 900hp to be "sports cars." All you need is enough power to get you into the turn at max lateral traction. Doing 900MPH down the straight is not "sportiness," it's about throwing the car about with precision, and it's pretty hard to be precise when one extra millimeter of pedal travel spins your rears up to 900MPH going around a 70MPH corner.

Practice breaking loose in an open area where you can't crash. That way you've experienced it multiple times and understand how it acts.
